Shraddha Prasad

Artiste, Teacher, and a Performer, Shraddha has turned her passion for dance into a full time career. An Engineering graduate, she trained in Bharatanatyam under Guru Late Smt Meenakshi Venkatraman, and continues to seek training under the able guidance of Samarchana School of Dance. She has completed her M.A in Bharatnatyam from Tilak Maharashtra Vidhyapeeth. She has also pursued her Alankar under Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyala. A brief training in Kathak & Kuchipudi dance has further enriched her movement vocabulary. She is also currently learning Carnatic Music under Sri. Sivaprasad N N, a noted figure in the field of music.

Having completed her Arangetram at 15 years of age, she has given many performances and has been a part of big productions like Shanti- a kargil war, Sankeertan which has been showcased in the Shaniwarwada dance festival in Pune and many parts of Maharashtra, Natyanjali festival in Mumbai, Sanskar Bharati dance festival in Pune and Nashik, Shivratri festival in Uttar Chidambaram Temple, Satara. Apart from performing, she has been teaching Bharatanatyam in Samarchana school of dance, Pune from 2011 and has taught many, hailing from different backgrounds and different age groups.

She is now settled in Berlin and has decided to take up dance classes to promote this art form.
