Sayori Izawa, video maker and photographer, born in Japan, studied Documentary filmmaking at the University of Paris VIII. She always films the real world without staging it, but rather presenting it with intuition, putting forward her particular viewpoint. Recently her films are becoming less narrative and the sound became her main area of interest. Her latest works in collaboration with musicians (Kumi Iwase, Eric Cordier, Laurent Pascal, etc.) focus more on the relation between sound and image.
