In Annette Krebsʼs new piece Konstruktion #3 she diffuses the sound, created by different objects and metals, through eight speakers. Like this it is a solo composition just as well as an instrumental sound sculpture. Konstruktion #3 is a further development of her electroacoustic research project Konstruktion, started in 2013, which she has been presenting in many solo performances in concerts and festivals in Europe, South America and Mexico. The series Konstruktion combines techniques and approaches of digital composition, sound art, contemporary music and improvisation. In Konstruktion #3 the sounds and noises of metals and different objects are amplified and digitally processed, resulting in a collage of new sounds and musical structures, in shifts of sound and multilayered polyphonic shadings.
ARà Dúo features two of the most versatile musicians on the Spanish contemporary music scene: Alessandra Rombolà and Núria Andorrà. They work both as interpreters and improvisers. The concert at ausland is their concert debut in Germany, in which they will present a series of improvisations where the limits between wind and percussive sounds will be questioned, opening possibilities for new musical landscapes. They create music with rough and delicate textures and they operate within a wide dynamic range.
Lea Bertucci is an American composer and performer whose work describes relationships between acoustic phenomena and biological resonance. In addition to her instrumental practice, (alto saxophone and bass clarinet), her work incorporates multi-channel speaker arrays, electroacoustic feedback, extended instrumental technique and tape collage. Deeply experimental, her work is unafraid to subvert musical expectation.
