All The Rivers Performance: غصّه Ghassa
A shadowy silhouette of a child is seen through a thin, white fabric, creating a haunting and eerie effect. The figure’s form is obscured, with only vague details visible. They appear to be pressing against the fabric with both hands spread wide, fingers splayed out, as though trying to push through the material. The shadowy outline lacks clear facial features or distinct details, giving an impression of anonymity and mystery. The high contrast between the dark shadow and the light fabric enhances the ominous, ghost-like quality of the image.

All The Rivers Performance: غصّه Ghassa

Ghassa is an immersive performance that confronts themes of war and resilience through the lens of food, symbolizing Palestinian identity and resistance. Through taste, sound, and communal sharing, the performance draws participants into an intense, personal experience of survival under siege.

Beginning with blindfolding, the act transforms food-sharing into a powerful reflection on struggle and voice, challenging accepted norms in foreign spaces. Combining traditional hospitality with unsettling contrasts—Ghassa creates a space where the pain and endurance of a community facing erasure are shared directly and unapologetically.

There will be communication assistance for deaf people and audio description.

Content and trigger disclaimers: This performance includes intense visuals, sounds, and sensory experiences related to war, trauma, and survival. Participants will be blindfolded at the beginning*, encounter fake blood, and experience distressing themes of conflict and displacement.
