2 short films and a special performance by Takehito Koganezawa, Schneider TM and Tomoko Nakasato

Already two years have passed since the triple catastrophy happened in Japan.

„Fukushima“( which litterally means „lucky island) has gained the same sad negative fame as Tchernobyl and became a symbol of the failure of a modern technology and its disastrous consequences on nature and mankind.
From 9th to 11th March there will be a great number of protests against nuclear energy in Japan and around the world.

Berlin based musician Manami N. curates a solidarity event to support the people who fight against nuclear business in Japan and to commemorate the victims of the catastrophy.
The program will present 2 short documentary films from Japan and a special performance from artist Takehito Koganezawa , musician Schneider TM and dancer Tomoko Nakasato.

„Genpatsu wa ima“( Nuclear power plant now)
documentary film from 1982 - 20min
Director: Michihiro Ohmi

Shortly after the Three mile Island accident, there was a scandal that at the Atsugi nuclear power plant in Japan also a serious accident has happened but the electric company tried to hide this fact. Workers from subcontractors started to protest loudly and organised a union in order to protect their rights. The film presents the point of view of the union with worker’s interviews.
The original film is 49min long ,for the event we will show an edited 20min short version.

„Fukushima no onna tachi“(women of Fukushima)
documentary film from 2012 - 28min
Director : Kugi Productions (Paul Johannessen, Jeffrey Jousan and Ivan Kovac)

Six Japanese women offer brutally honest views on the state of the clean-up, the cover-ups and untruths since the nuclear accident in Fukushima, and how it has affected their lives, homes and families. Women of Fukushima is the first production produced by Kugi Productions.

"Feedback" is a process in which information about the past or the present influences the same phenomenon in the present or future.

Takehito Koganezawa, Schneider TM, Tomoko Nakasato: "Feedback".
"Feedback" is a process in which information about the past or the present influences the same phenomenon in the present or future.

Takehito Koganeza is using "visual information" like a musician is performing on a instrument. His  set up is quite simple---one camera connected to 2 video projectors. For instance, when he uses a small pen light, the camera captures its moment of brightness and it starts to move and grow by feedback signals of the camera.
Schneider TM also chooses a very simple technical configuration---guitars and amplifier. A feedback produced by an electric guitar might be very uncontrolled and sometimes very painful to hear. So, his task is to create musical structures to controll the sound and to avoid the disturbing feedback signal.
Tomoko Nakasato uses her body and  a number of cubic elements. “Cubes are symbols of our feeling for this theme”, she says. She tries connecting each of them or spreading out, even to step on them. How should they be? There is another meaning of feedback---as a function of interrelation and  communication
