Tizia Zimmermann

*1995 has been playing the accordion since the age of eight. From 2015, she studied classical music with Teodoro Anzellotti at Bern University of the Arts (HKB), where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2018 and a Master's degree in Performance with distinction in 2020. From summer 2020, she continued her studies in the MA in Specialized Music Performance | Specialization in New Music, also at the HKB with Teodoro Anzellotti. She is a prizewinner of the Friedl Wald Foundation and the Foundation for Young Musical Talent Meggen. Tizia Zimmermann plays in various formations with a focus on contemporary music, free improvisation and experimental (noise) music and was on the board of the WIM Zurich (Workshop for Improvised Music). An important influence on her was working on Hans Zender's “Winterreise” under the direction of Emilio Pomàrico at Zurich Opera House.
