Sofia Eftychidou

Sofia Eftychidou is a Greek bass player currently living in Berlin.

She first studied classical music with Vassilis Papavassiliou in Athens and soon began to participate in orchestras and ensembles.

At the age of 18, she started playing Jazz and moved to Germany, where she studied at the “HfMT Köln” from 2015 to 2021 under the guidance of Dieter Manderscheid and Jonas Burgwinkel.

Concerts with multiple ensembles such as ´JULY TREE`, `Sera Kalo´s eXante` have led her through numerous countries in Europe, f.e. Austria, Poland, Portugal and France.

Besides her own projects, she has collaborated with artists such as Otis Sandsjö, Ignaz Schick, Dj Illvibe, and Lotte Anker.
