Maya Weinberg

Maya Weinberg is a choreographer, dancer and dramaturg based in Berlin since 2013. Her practice moves through collaboration, research, and collective making. A former dancer and teacher with Yasmeen Godder Dance Company, she teaches at Tanzfabrik Berlin and HZT Berlin. She has collaborated with numerous artists, and was a founding member of B A G collective and is currently a member of Altes Finanzamt, a queer-feminist project space. At the core of her practice are touch, relationality, and the fluid shifting of roles, narratives, and mediums. Drawn to spaces of in-between, she approaches dance and choreography as ways of sensing, knowing and becoming. Her installation and performance Are We In Touch Now, exploring mediated touch in relation to the technological gaze, was shown in July 2024 as part of Wyvern’s Invisible Networks exhibition. www.mayaweinberg.net   http://www.bag-collective.de/
