Max Arsava

Max Arsava is a pianist, keyboardist and electronic musician based in Berlin. His recent work often involves performative-installative approaches to sound shaped by material and mechanical mediation. Alongside his solo performances, he works in duo, trio and small ensemble settings with Ignaz Schick, Gunnar Geisse, Alex Bayer, Bill Elgart, Ernst Bier, Grgur Savic, Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoglu, Fabian Jung and many others, and is a member of and composer for the large ensemble Circuit Training. His music has been released on labels including Aut Records, Jazzwerkstatt, Creative Sources Recordings, KLAENG Records and others. His performances have taken him to Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, France, England, Czech Republic, Denmark, Turkey and the United States. Max is co-host of the artist-run project space Richten25 and co-curator of the Neu Berlin Institute of Improvised Music series.
