Marc Philipp Gabriel

is a Berlin-based performing artist who works with body, voice, installation, video and architecture from the perspective of dance and movement. His work offers unconventional perspectives on social norms and contributes to the discourse on future models of coexistence on and with planet Earth.

His works have been performed at Gessnerallee Zurich / Haus der Berliner Festspiele / Sophiensaele Berlin / Staatstheater Mainz / Zodiak Helsinki / National Arts Festival South Africa, among others. In 2019 he was a Fellow of the Pina Bausch Foundation. His dance films SALTO (2020. Winner at Ecoperformance Festival 2022 São Paulo), X Fastidiosa (2020. Winner "Greenfork" MovieValley Festival Italy), LAVA (2022. Winner "Best Experimental Short Film", Atlantic International Film Festival, Columbia) GIRO (2023. Brazil Tour 2025) with Tis Aly (aka Tizo All) have been shown at film festivals worldwide. Marc’s recent performance practice includes Taiko (Japanese drumming) in relation to dance.
