Dingsda
Everyone deals with hopelessness and a lack of perspective in the face of climate change, war, inflation, pandemics, etc. in their own way.
The strategy of Dingsda from Leipzig was: sitting around, thinking too much, staring out the window. And playing the drums. Not particularly well, but a lot. The main point is to hit something, preferably every day. As it turned out, it takes a lot of drumming to come to terms with the world.
So the idea for a game was born. Or rather: a record. The goal was to compose and then record instrument and vocal tracks in a maximum of three minutes and in a maximum of three takes. Dilettantism at its best – yeah! In the song lyrics, Dingsda tries to empathize with the problems of old white men and voters of the liberal German party FDP: gas prices, self-pity, cars, alcohol, loneliness and neoliberalism. But it didn't make her any the wiser, only more annoyed.
