Alba Gentili-Tedeschi

Italian pianist Alba Gentili-Tedeschi, born in 1983, is based in Berlin since 2006. Grown up in Milan in a very "classical" music enviroment she finally found in the german Hauptstadt the scene which allowed her to expand her horizons from contemporary to experimental music. While enrolled at the Universität der Künste Berlin she started to collaborate with composers and new music ensembles taking part in many performances and festivals around Europe (a.o., coming in may 2012 the Internationales Festival für neues Musiktheater in Munich). Very convinced about the combination and cooperation between the arts she's been working with theatre, actors, videos and installations, exploring the huge amount of possibilities that her instrument has to offer.
